Yolanda Leaks, the founder of the ShowUp Ministry Foundation, is a member of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA, under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Arthur Carson, Jr. She attended the Atlanta Public Schools, where she graduated from B.E. Mays High School. After graduation she went on to attend Georgia Southern University where she obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. After 3 years of being in the workforce, Yolanda then attended the University of Phoenix where she received her Master’s in Business Administration. Even with all her formal education, her greatest education came from working with her church.

Yolanda has served on the Trustee Board for many years. She started as the recording secretary and later was appointed as the Church Financial Officer. In that role she was responsible for creating and monitoring the budget, working with church administration on the preparation and distribution of financial statements, answering questions raised by Trustees or congregation. Yolanda also served on the Finance committee. Yolanda has been a voice of guidance for over 20 years. She has learned from her Pastor and the trustees, and she has helped them to gain some understanding on how financial's work.

During her time with the ministry and operating her own accounting business she slowly began to understand her passion. After several years of trying to figure out how to help churches and ministries the Lord gave her the vision in July 2022, to start a foundation that would help churches and ministries get the operation training that is needed. Thus, the birth of the ShowUp Ministry Foundation, Inc.

The ShowUp Ministry Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is dedicated to assisting Bible-based churches and ministries in maintaining their divine vision. This foundation was inspired by a desire to support churches, dispelling misconceptions about their finances and helping with education and money management. The aim is to provide guidance, financial assistance, and support to ministries in need, ultimately helping them fulfill their mission.

The name of the foundation is in honor of Yolanda’s parents Oliver & Linda Leaks. These two were the epitome of support & showing up for those that they love. This foundation is here to show up for ministries that are always showing up for their community, their members & others in need.

This foundation is based on Christian principles & Godly love.
